City poster

Tokyo map poster

A galaxy of streets wrapped around an empty green centre.

Tokyo has no single grid. It is thousands of small ones, stitched together by rail lines and the Yamanote loop, orbiting the wooded void of the Imperial Palace grounds.

Shown here in the Noir theme. Noir turns that density into a field of white filaments on black, like the city seen from a night flight. This preview is a live map: in the studio you can drag it to frame the exact area you want, switch between 30 hand-tuned themes, set your own caption, and download it at print resolution.

What to frame

  • ·Shibuya the scramble and the valleys that funnel into it
  • ·Yanaka temple lanes that survived the fires

Yes. The preview is a live map. In the studio you can drag and zoom to frame exactly what you want: just Shibuya, the streets around Yanaka, or the whole city. The caption and coordinates update to match.

What sizes does the Tokyo map poster come in?

Three aspect ratios: 12 × 16″, 18 × 24″ and 24 × 36″, each downloadable at 150 or 300 dpi. At 300 dpi the largest file is 7,200 × 10,800 px.

What file do I get?

A PNG (lossless) or JPEG rendered in your browser, with the OpenStreetMap credit set small in the caption band. Print it with any lab or at home.

Is it free?

Yes. Mapster lets you design any poster and download it at print resolution with no account, no watermark and no fee.
